Getting of the Christmas Sage
It is our tradition to "harvest" a sage bush rather than a conifer tree for Christmas. Especially when we are traveling over the holiday. So, last weekend, we made our annual outing to our Christmas sage-getting sweet spot at our friends' Deb and Gray's house.

Elizabeth's Birthday Weekend
Okay, I am 40. Here are some pics of my birthday overnight (with girlfriends) at Chico Hot Spring.
It would have been a perfect opportunity to use my good camera. But, right after this picture the battery died. So the rest were taken with my cell phone.
Dinner was fantastic. What I could taste of it. This was the start of a wicked cold. Luckily, I could taste the wine, and the horseradish on the oysters. But, the subtle coconut and apricot flavors on the fish, nope.
It was seven degrees on Saturday. Cold, but beautiful.

Emma goes sledding, while Lilly sleeps in car
Here are a few pictures of our recent outing to a sledding hill. It is just outside of town and the coverage is still spotty (note the grasses sticking out of the snow). Lots of kids were out though despite the thin conditions.
Lilly was supposed to get out with us for some fresh air, but fell asleep on the drive over. Not to worry, the car was 25 yards from the hill and Sid and I took turns making sure she was okay.
Emma had fun though! And her good friend Phoebe joined us as well.

"Graduation Day"
Who says second kids only get hand-me-downs. Lilly just graduated up to her very fancy, bought for her, Svan high chair. Emma got through high chair eating in two high chairs we found by the side of the road...
Emma got to use it for a while, but graciously relinquished it yesterday to her little sister. Especially when it meant sitting in the big kids chairs.
Here is Lilly (in all her one-sock baby high chair glory):
I wanted to find a picture of Emma at this age and put it in. There is definitely a sisterly resemblance going on here.

Snow in MT
On the first snow day of the season, I played in my first tennis tournament. Emma was a sport and went with me to watch my fellow team-mates play their doubles match. (I played singles). I lost, but it was a great game!
Here Emma is in her new snow coat walking to the tennis "bubble/shed".
Lilly is greatly enjoying the change of the seasons as well. We've been pulling out all of Emma's old baby things. Latest is the exer-saucer. Lilly loves it, even more than Emma did.
Now she gets to boogy down with her sister. What a treat!
The entire Williamson family gets down together.

Happy Halloween from Bozeman!
Immediately after school, around 3pm, you can head to Downtown Bozeman for the "Big Halloween Costume Walk-a-Throng". But really. We went last year, and it was INSANE. Thousands of kids and parents, and strollers. And they don't shut down traffic. So everyone has to get in and out of stores and by each other on the sidewalks. This year we opted for a more casual neighborhood Halloween stroll. We stopped by two friends' houses who were having neighborhood Halloween parties: you trick or treat, then you head into their house for beer, or apple cider, then you go back out and trick or treat again.
It was a nice evening. Here are some pictures:
These were on our front porch. Emma decided on "happy faces" this year. Happy faces, they are. Compliments of Sid's fine pumpkin handiwork.
Emma is a pinkalicous Super Hero.
Emma and Sid discussion the more existential qualities of the pumpkins at this house, compared to our "just happy" pumpkins at our own home.
It is fun. The houses along South 3rd goes all out for the occasion.
You have to love Halloween at age 4. Emma was thrilled just to be out with us and the pumpkins. After about 5 houses, she said "This is great!" I have sooo much candy. Is it time to go home now?".....
Dearest Lil' never left the stroller. So, no one got to see her pumpkin outfit (compliments of the Memphis Trotz contingent), but she did not seem to mind.
